Pilglas is back to Bergdala Hyttan with their new willow moulds that were woven at Steen H Madsen‘s workshop in Ringsted, Denmark.


ATTENDING a WILLOW WEAVING COURSE

Pilglas has been awarded a project grant by the Arts Council, Konstnärsnämnden, to develop the willow weaving technique. We have attended on an intensive course by Steen H Madsen, who is known as a willow weaving expert, based in Ringsted, Denmark.

Region Skåne’s design scholarship

Pilglas is pleased to announce that they have received Region Skåne’s design scholarship, Region Skånes designstipendium.
COLLABORATION WITH TIGER OF SWEDEN
JUNE, 2019
Pilglas special collection designed for Tiger of Sweden, Stockholm based fashion house, has been installed in their store on Biblioteksgatan in Stockholm. The vessel collection will be displayed in their stores in Sockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Uppsala, Copenhagen, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart.

SPOK Souvenir Collection

Pilglas has created a series of vases, for SPOK souvenir collection. We developed a smaller model that suits a souvenir from Skåne. The project has exhibited at Form/Design Center and Stockholm Furniture Fair 2020. The vases are available at the Form / Design center, Butik Fina, Wanås Konst and Anna Bell Ceramic.

FEBRUARY, 2018
Pilglas participated in Utvalt i Skåne 2018. The exhibition has traveled to Trelleborgs museum and Kulturcentrum Ronneby after the project was exhibited at Form/Design Center.

”WELCOME TO WEDEN”, TOKYO DESIGNERS WEEK

Pilglas has traveled to Tokyo for the exhibition, Welcome to Weden, at Midori.so during Tokyo design week. The exhibition was organized by City of Malmö, Svensk FORM and the Swedish Institute. We were in Tokyo with fellow designers, Lisa Hilland, Kristin Leibel and Glen Baghurst.

Welcome to London design biennale! ”Pilglas” has continued to develop for the exhibition, Welcome to Weden, curated by Jenny Nordberg supported by Swedish Institute and Embassy of Sweden London.

”Den Nya Kartan” IN STOCKHOLM

The exhibition has traveled to Nationalmuseum Design at Kulturhuset in Stockholm on the 4th of December until 14th of February, and to Vandalorum, in Värnamo in March.

Jonas Larsen and Studio Trojka has launched a new collection of mouth blown glass vessels called ”PilGlas”. ”-We have used locally grown willow to weave the moulds”.
Please come to visit the exhibition ”Den nya kartan”, the result of a collaboration between 24 designers and producers in Skåne at Form/Design Center in Malmö. The exhibition is curated by Jenny Nordberg and is on until 16th of November 2015.
